The MultiPHP INI Editor provided by cPanel enables users to modify their PHP settings. This feature works in conjunction with the MultiPHP Manager, which facilitates the switching of PHP versions for websites. The MultiPHP INI Editor offers two modes: Basic and Editor.
Basic Mode
In Basic Mode, users can easily make some of the most commonly required PHP configuration changes with just a few clicks. This mode provides additional information about each available option. It’s important to note that the options displayed may differ based on the PHP version being used. Additionally, the MultiPHP INI Editor displays the default settings for each option, as listed on the php.net site. Here are the steps to use it:
- Login to cPanel
- In the Software section, click on MultiPHP INI Editor
- Under Configure PHP INI basic settings click the dropdown menu that says — Select a location —
- Select the domain you would like to make changes to
- When finished making changes, click Apply
Editor Mode
Editor Mode provides an easy way to add customized PHP configuration changes on a per-domain basis. This mode enables users to modify PHP variables that are not available in Basic Mode. Additionally, the path to the PHP.ini file being edited is displayed. Here’s a brief overview of how to use it:
- Login to cPanel
- In the Software section, click on MultiPHP INI Editor
- In the top-left-hand section of the MultiPHP INI Editor page, click on Editor Mode
- Under Configure PHP INI basic settings click the dropdown menu that says — Select a location —
