How to Reset a cPanel Password in WHM
In the event that your customers misplace their password, you may need to reset it for them. One efficient method of logging into WHM to reset a cPanel password is provided below. It is essential to note that your customers should not be given access to WHM.
- Log into WHM
- Under Account Information choose List Accounts
- Click the + sign next to the account you are managing and the dropdown will appear
- Under the domain name you will see Change Password:
- Fill in your customer’s preferred password
- Click Change
Once you reach this stage, you should see a confirmation screen, indicating that the cPanel password update was successful.
